#throwback my trial of persian cooking

#throwback

I have been searching through since yesterday some cooking recipes to freshen my brain on what to cook in the weekends. i stumble upon this great Persian recipe blog, turmeric and saffron blog. The writer is from Iran. I love the recipes. it is simple and no hassle. Because I went through some online recipes on Google, I found that it is quite hard to understand. But this blog shows us easy steps on cooking these lovely Persian dishes AND the pictures of food are lovely! I drool looking at them..

I have tried some persian recipes before. thanx to my dear friend and Iranian beauty, Parand Azizi.

I have tried Ghormeh Sabzi and salad shirazi. yummy~!

Ghormeh sabzi (in the making)

salad shiraz

It took me a while to go through the recipes and finding the herbs that are needed to be use in the cooking. (LOL) so, I guess it is my luck that we have several mid east store here, so I can find the ingredients I needed without going into KL. But the sad part is, i did not take any pictures of ghormeh sabzi :'( only the making of it.

I fell in love with Persian food, because of all the herbs used as ingredients. They are healthy food, because from what i see in their ingredients, they use a lot of herbs and vegetables and lemon. they don't use a lot of fat.
